Attracted by the magnetism of transformation and eclectic futurism, designer Ružica Milenković finds inspiration for the new campaign of the Mirio brand bracelets in the act of rebellion and Japanese designers Kansai and Yohji Yamamoto, who at the same time, but each in their own way, pushed the boundaries and created some of the greatest pop culture.
The unrestricted eccentricity of Kansai Yamamoto shaped the legendary Ziggy Stardust, the alter ego of David Bowie whose fashion revolt is timeless, and Yohji Yamamoto ignored and shocked pre-established harmonies with his models of asymmetrical, wide, black garments. The ZIGGY AGAIN collection is inspired by the work and work of these fashion icons, and resonates today due to the constant need of artists for creative impulses.
“The challenge was to move away from the classic Mirio bracelet, from the compact base and colors. Complicate things or break the integrity of the base and build new structures on the “empty” central surface of the bracelet with black and white semi-precious stones. The deconstructed Mirio bracelet is neutral, but its line works equally well in street style fashion or punk-glam rock outfit. However, this intervention has an unexpected note of romance … “says designer Ružica Milenković.
ZIGGY AGAIN is a collection of bracelets made of silver-filled wire and black-and-white semi-precious stones – onyx, rock crystal and moonstone, hand-crafted and with specimens that emphasize the authenticity of the concept – rebellion as an incentive.
